GI left it up to me

I take Colazal, but the principle is the same. First, if you've only been off the Pred for two weeks, I'd wait at least another month. Sometimes symptoms can sneak back on you for the first couple of months.

Then, if you want to decrease, I'd do it veeeeeeery slowly. Maybe decrease the dosage by one pill a month. The last thing you want is to fall back into a flare. Far better, IMO, to take the meds longer than to risk that.

Who would say stop cold turkey? I thought you have to stay on meds. I would take six Asacol no less. One a month decrease sounds good...
