Hi, it's been a while since I've been on this site.  I've been on Humira for over a year and a half.  It seemed to work well and put me into remission, however, I'm going through a flare since Dec 28, 2009.  This flare is not as bad as others.  I had little bleeding, but the cramps and diarrhea have been bad.  I'm on cort enemas, which have decreased the cramps and stopped the bleeding, however I'm still going to the bathroom up to 6-7x's day.  I also have IBS, which is  another culprit causing problems.  My question is, is there anyone that has flared on Humira and how were the symptoms?  And did you go back into remission while flaring on Humira? Thanks.

I was on Humira for almost 2 years. When I started I had urges to go 50 times a day..yes 50 tmes!
I was on prednisone at the same time..about 20mg which I managed to wean off in a few months. I stayed ok until the beg of december when I startd to flare again..at this time I was just on Humira and my salofalk..I think this is when I moved to weekly Humira instead of bi weekly ..things never went back to nornal after this...I had to add prednisone in again eventually and then just decided to get off the Humira all together and now I am just on my salofalk and vsl and a whole bunch of other supplements..I feel ok now but not perfect by any means..

I was on Humira for one year and while I was on it, had a flare...not a super bad one, but nonetheless a flare...I was doing weekly injections...I couldn't get out of the flare without adding cortifoam enemas...I soonafter made the choice to get off humira...after getting off humira and making some dietary changes, I feel a lot better...I was scared to get off because I thought I would flare again...but I'm happy I made the decision...

i flared on humira as well.....i'm starting to think that its not as effective as they thought it would be...seems like many people have flares while on it

Nightside of eden, are you still on humira?

Wehn I started I was in remission for about a year and 3 months. Hopefully it didn't stop working like Remicade did when I was on it. Then where do ya go?? Clinical trials? surgery?
