Red and others Ovarian Cysts

I've never had a cyst that made me NOT have a period. I've had cysts that made me have wacky or continued bleeding though. I've never heard of regular ovarian cysts (which are follicular cysts that don't "pop") causing you to miss a period (doesn't mean that it can't happen, I've just never heard of it) - they can also make periods more painful though. However, with polycystic ovarian syndrome yes you can not have a period. I would give it a bit more time and if you continue to having missed periods, make an appointment with your GYN to see why.

Oh and btw, this is not OT but very on topic as ovarian cysts are a common extra intestinal manifestation of Uc in women.

I have a problem with follicular cysts. I've only had one that got to be 6cm's and had to be drained. When I had my endo ablation my GYN said I also have a few small ones but then later on down the road they resolved on their own because my recent scan showed them not to be there. But I do have painful follicular cysts that "pop" on me all the time. It feels like a sharp biting stinging feeling that hurts especially if I bend over. Sometimes it takes my breath away from the pain of it. But I can't tell you if I ever had D from the cysts alone. I was always in a state of flare anyway but you might be having D because of your hormones from almost being on your period. Hormone flunctuations can also cause a bit of D.
