Hey everyone!

I'm starting a new study and getting my first infusion next Tuesday (is it Tuesday yet??? Seriously. Can't wait), and I just wanted to know if anyone had been in a study for this drug (Vedolizumab) and how it had worked. Anyone?

LOL, at this point they could inject poison into me via IV and I wouldn't even care. Just get me better!!!

Can you please tell us more about this. My GI has been pushing this drug to a few patients too..not me cause I just got out of the Humira trial but to my friend that sees the same doc as me...Its supposed to be like Humira except for a few things which are ,...????????

I honestly don't know much, which is why I posted. I know it's a biologic and is similar to Tysabri except it does not cross the barrier into the brain, so it doesn't have the negative side effects and the risk for PML that Tysabri has.

Sorry I dont even know what Tysabri is..I have heard of it but dont know anything about it,,

Is this still an immunosuppresive?

Yep, they're both immunosuppressants...I wish I could tell you more than that!

I wish they would make something else that does not suppress the immune function .,..dont we all eh..
