sulfasalazine question

I have been on this now for 2 months. Lately i have been feeling like I have the flu. I am pretty sure i don't have the flu. I am always fatiged, body aches, and i also got a unproductive cough. I am trying to get off this med as soon as i hear about getting accepted for humira. I am on sulfasalazine for my arthritis. It is helping the joint pain, but i don't like the way this is making me feel. I told my doc, and that is why we are going the humira way. In the meantime, i am still on this med for joint pain. Did anyone ever experience this?

I had similar symptoms when I was on sulfasalazine. Every morning for a couple of weeks I felt like a bag of dirt. I told my GI and he (eventually) put me on Azathioprine. That was over 4 years ago. I think the Azathiprine is now losing it's efficacy as I'm in a flare with 22cm of inflammation. Time for something else!

Proctofoam is working. I am still bleeding a little, but it is doing the job
