Non-steroid enemas/suppositories?

Does anyone know any good non-steroid enemas?  I've been taking Cortifoam and experiencing terrible steroid related side effects (aches, fast heartbeat, dizziness, shortness of breath).  My rectal area is the part that is inflamed and was hoping I could ask my GI for something that would help treat that area without using steroids? Any suggestions?

Yes, the Rowasa or generic mesalamine enema (in the US).

You could use the enemas once daily......but it would be best to call the doc and ask for the Rowasa.

You'll be seeing him in 2 weeks for a consult anyway....may as well try the Rowasa before having to wait with the side effects you're having. That would drive me crazy.
