     Does anyone know if there are statistics on how many people with ulcerative colitis improved while on Humira but failed on Remicade?

Christine- Call the Humira people.  They told me but I forget.  I think it was in the 80% range.  I have been on it for five weeks.  I thought I was strartin to feel better but am dealing with a minor setback of a surprise pregnancy.  I am still taking it though.  Next Sunday will be week #6.  My doctor told me could take up to 8.

     Boxermom...thanks.  I will call them.  80% is GOOD!!!  Do you get the injections every week?  They told me every two weeks.  I am giving myself the shots this Wednesday, only my second time.

I did the loading doses of four then day fifteen I did two. Now I am on every other week. I have had a total of seven needles now. This med is cheaper than my Asacol or Rowasa and Entocort. With their copay card I only have to pay 350.00 out of the $5500.

I was in the study for almost two yearse..they tol dme it had a 50% sucess rate with UC and higher with Crohns

Only 50%. I sure hope it works for me. Running out of options.

     Me too Boxermom..lol.  Oh well, hangin in there.  Doing a bit better with increasing my Colazal to nine a day from six, Cort enema on alternate nites with Canasa.  Stopped the flaxseed oil capsule as I think it makes the stool softer. 

     Humira pharmacy in NY called me today with the date they will send my next shipment to my home, April 16th.  I asked the girl if she knew the statistics, but she didn'teyes . 

     Tapered down to 30 mgm of prednisone.  Took 10 mgm of Ambien last night and slept a full 7 hours.....ah heavenly bliss!!!
