Antispasmotic med

     Is Bentyl an antispasmotic drug?  Today was a poop day for me.  Yesterday I didn't go at all.  This seems to be the norm for me lately.  One day, no poop, next day, mucho poops.  The first three or four are formed, but long and narrow, no blood or mucus, soft though.  Then the next few are real soft.  Amazing how much poop the colon can hold huh?  Anyway, I have had just about enough of it by the seventh time, so I take a teaspoon or so of Immodium and that seems to do the trick.  However, my rectum seems to spasm.  Just wondering if an antispasmotic med would help.

Levsen is an antispas med but peppermint oil has been proven to be as effective... Valium which is a very effective muscle relaxer will help a sphincter in spasm

     Where can I purchase peppermint oil, in a health food store?  I would rather go the natural route if possible.  I have Lorazapam here for anxiety but I take it very sparingly...would that do anything?

Yes Bentyl is an anti-spasmodic. I only take it when all else has failed and I NEED my colon to STOP NOW.
Luckily this happens rarely and a bottle of pills lasts about 2 years. But it's nice to have it in my go-to kit.
Pretty cheap for an RX. $10 or less.

And yes I agree it is simply AMAZING how much can come out of a colon, over 3' no foolin.
