Anyone ever read this book?

     I recently went to our local library where I found the book, Natural Cures by Kevin Trudeau.  Started reading it on my many potty breaks today.  SCARRRY!  It's a wonder I lived to be as old as I am.  According to him, everything is killing us!  Microwaves, cell phones, preservatives, meds.  He grows his own food, and his family makes most of their own meals from scratch.  Tap water is poison, so are deodorants, body oils, sunscreens, etc.  I had to put the darn book down....getting depressed..lol.  Anyone else out there read this book?

Kevin Trudeau is a scammer and a con. I wouldn't read anything he writes. If you google him you read all about his ways. Fortunately you didn't buy the book!

LOL My psycho sister in law was reading it and was following some of the things recommended in that book. Is she any healthier? No because in this day and age, it's unrealistic. She even did a week long colon cleanse while we up at the cottage and she was constantly running to the bathroom....I almost wanted to tell her welcome to my world but I didn't waste my breath.

lol, can you imagine trying to live that way. What a scare tactic! Oh well, guess he's selling books...but what if the print from his book had an adverse affect on you? Hmmm.

I have not read it, and I don't think I am going to!!! I hate reading things like that that make you feel depressed about everything you come in contact with. We can't live in a bubble, and I don't want to start second guessing everything I do and give to my kids! I am already getting neurotic about the kids as it is because of my UC, I don't need to add to it!!!

Lol, I am neurotic too Laura! Probably way too much on my end though!

I suppose everyone has their opinions, and I'm not the one to change anyone's mind, so as my cube mate says...."Oh well, such is life..."

I don't think I could give up deodorant, no matter how hard I tried! I forgot to put it on one morning a while back....it bothered me enough that I drove home, scrubbed my pits, and put some on!

I have read it. I think he just regurgitated a lot of information that's already out there. Most of it is a good read, but not worth spending money on.

He is a scammer!!

He is not in any way a medical professional or anything of the sort.

If you can get your library to relocate his book to the 'humor' or maybe even the 'horror' section, you would be doing the people of your community a favor.

I've looked him up on the Internet. I don't see how anyone can make tons of money advocating living a natural life, but he apparently is able to so. What a scammer.

As for cleanses, there are many scams for cleanses on the market, especially for colon cleanses. I will usually only do drug-store-bought cleanses. I'm currently doing a liver cleanse at the moment. I looked at the ingredients and felt it was a good one. It contains turmeric and milk thistle, among others.

As for deodorants, I've never had to use them.

I've heard about the microwave debate. My boyfriend, who understands a lot about chemistry and such, says the argument against eating microwave food doesn't make sense. I think as long as you don't stand in front of the microwave while it is on, you should be okay.

As for cell phones, occasional use should be okay. Don't make a habit of using them too much though.

Scam artist. He already was fined millions for claiming he could cure diseases. Remarkable that full on lying will make you a millionaire in our country.
