How do you feel today?

I am feeling pretty good today.  My past Saturday "glutening" has passed, I am in the middle of my Remicade cycle, colitis is calm, IBS is calm, it's warm and sunny in Texas and there are only 32 days left of school! 

Just wondering how y'all are feeling today?

I also hate mornings blah! I always feel like I got hit by a truck because I have arthritis but once I get moving I start to feel better. It's just getting out of bed is the real challenge! lol Then of course I think I am in a minor flare so that is not helping much. But we have a beautiful day here in Michigan too. Sunny and it's going to be in the 60's - yes that is warm for us! lol

Im glad someone is feeling well!! .. Hello Sunny Texas!.. :( today is one of my worst in a few days (UC wise), and I have no idea why.

Pretty good as well. Have a hemmie that's making my butt sore, but it's no big deal. My allergies, on the other hand, have been disgusting lately, I can't wait for the trees to stop shedding. But other than this I am feeling a-ok.

Ashmageddon!!!..lol - Very nice.. I was hoping for a week to myself, the other half and my daughter were going to Tunisia on Sunday.. All flights were canceled..:( - They got reimbursed tho! - Which is good..

I'm great, but the weather here sucks, sucks, sucks today. We had a glorious weekend and Monday, yesterday was a bit ick, and today it's "pouring" by PNW standards (ie, a nice steady rain in the midwest).

Niceeee. The burn/soreness feels good and bad at the same time. I have a love hate relationship with squats!

Isn't Robaxacet wonderful? We can't get it here in the states, so whenever we have visitors from home (Toronto) they bring me a few bottles... I just wish they could bring some other stuff like Harvey's hamburgers and Tim Horton cream filled donuts... and some poutine.... and some real eggrolls... mmmmmmm

Nor_Tx....poutine isn't something I'm drawn to....but fries with chili...that's a different thing, lol.
I've never had a Harvey's hamburger....I'm sure it was originally a US company.

Tim's doughnuts/donuts....the cream filled bismarks are great! I don't have them often, however....but nice for a treat.

REAL eggrolls? I guess it would depend on the restaurant....where do you get them from? interesting.... I had a friend who would analyse eggrolls..."what's this, what's that"?.....sheesh. just eat the darn thing with plum sauce already..haha.

Regarding the Robaxacet...there would probably be "back relief" medications available in different store brands...SuperStore, Walmart, and my fave of Costco.

Read the label and if it has methocarbamol and acetaminophen or call your pharmacy. The Robaxacet is much more expensive.

You're not talking the Robaxacet Platinum, are you? That one has naproxen in it....not so good for UCers, but maybe with your doc's permission it would be OK.

The methocarbamol can be purchased alone...called Robaxin. It's somewhat expensive, but you can take it with Tylenol or alone. It comes in 500mg and 750mg.

Supa.....yes, it was a long haul, and I was really getting so frustrated with the whole stupid thing. I have one client I did on Monday who has the same thing and she is also frustrated. She even said to me "I've never had anything like this before"....which was confirmation with what I've been saying all along. It was nice to share in the perplexing misery....lol.

     Pretty good day today, but feel loopy from taking TWO Tylenol PM's last night so I could get more than four hours of sleep.  Yesterday wasn't good...a real poopathon.  I took my third injection (actually injection #7 but third time) of Humira today...that is such a snap compared to Remicade!

I am starting to feel better. Spent Sunday in the ER due to fecal impaction. Not fun. I did not think that as a UC patient for 48 years (ages 16 to 64) there was anything left to embarrass me. But alas I found it. So what caused the impact? I have no idea. I have been mostly in remission the last two years. And suddenly I stopped going. So after being dug out (ouch) the doctor told me to eat lots of roughage.
I usually do. So far most roughage has not bothered me.
Once again I am trying to figure out what I did wrong. This disease is so unpredictable? Did UC cause the impaction? And now one I needed a manual cleansing it seems to have started a UC flare.
To avoid constipation, they say, "eat lots of fiber; drink Prune juice, exercise and drink lots of water." So I tell them. "I walk every day, much more than most. I drink a lot of water. I take metamucil."
To avoid a UC flare, "Don't eat roughage; be wary of fiber supplements."

Sometimes I just don't know what to think. I am still sore from the impact but it is getting better. But my BM's feel more like they do when I am flaring with UC. But not as often. I don't know what I fear more; diarrhea via UC or constipation.
