Hi Christine :)
Yes, he is going to probably just have a peek with a laporascope... I don't think they will have to actually open up my abdomen... at least I hope not!!!
I had a CT scan with contrast back on January 6th when they were trying to see if this pain might be appendicitis.. I have also had a small capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultra sound, and a bunch of bloodwork all to no avail... My GI and my GP are thinking it could be adhesions from prior abdominal surgeries... I had a hysterctomy about 15 years ago, and before that I had a lapo to confirm needing the hysterectomy. Then a few years later I had another lapo procedure to remove a cyst on my right ovary, and a few years later after that, another lapo to Remove the right ovary.. They also said it could be endometriosis returning, which I had taken out when I had my right ovary removed, which was back in 2001..That's the last abdominal surgery I had... I'm hoping that's what it is, but my gut is telling me that it's something else.. because my colon get's all swollen feeling sometimes and my guts get really sore in addition to this constant pain I have. Bentyl doesn't even touch it... She also said it could be something that has to do with the blood vessles in my abdomen, but I can't even remember the name for that... I'm just so thankful that it's not my IBD.. but I am concerned about what it actually could be..
So I'll just have to keep waiting, but hopefully not for too much longer~!
