Hi Christine-I posted to you on your other thread to me last week, but I am not sure if you saw it-it may have gotten buried. I actually saw results from the Humira right away. I mean, literally, I had the first 4 loading doses (I had 4 shots at once-is that how they did it for you as well?) and within days the bleeding I was having was gone, and I was going once or twice a day, fully formed. The Remicade wasn't the same way for me, but I responded immediately to the Humira, and stayed in a solid remission like that for about 10 months. I know not everyone else in the trial responded as quickly or as well as I did.
I have been told that it is more typical to take some time to respond, but knowing you already failed on the Remicade, honestly, I think if I were you, I would be looking into surgery as well. It has just been such a roller coaster for you, I think it would definitely pay to get the consult and see what the options are. I have already decided that if I can't maintain remission this time around, I am going to look into surgery as well. I mean, I am scared about that, especially since right now I am living fairly normally, but all these meds get to be too much-especially when they aren't doing what they should be anyway.
I am just so sorry you are struggling. I was really hoping the Humira was going to help and get you into remission.
