Me and you kido are in the same boat. Except I'm about 40 years older. I lived on Long Island NY about 12 years ago. I hooked up with GI who was just starting out 25 years ago. After I moved to CT it took me about and hour to get to him. For my colonoscopy's trip was alittle long but I managed. In 2005 I had my last scope and my GI moved to MASS. It now takes me 3 1/2 hr to see him. I really liked this DR. He is almost like a friend. He does not panic you. He listens to what you say, never rush's you. You get the picture. When I would see him would get a complete exam, DRE, occult blood fecal test etc...about 3 years ago had bad stomach pain. He ordered a CAT scan. All normal. Pain went away. For the last 2 years I kept saying yup this year I will do it but kept thinking about the trip. I have not been feeling bad, so I kept delaying. Well 3 months ago my mom who has Crohn's came down with CRC. She is 79 and decided to delay her yearly colonoscopy by 2 years. It was still caught in an early stage, but STILLLLLLL. The William Tell Overture went off in my head. Hi Ho crap...I am having my colonoscopy the Monday after next. Going up the day before and get to do the prep in hotel. As if on cue my back has gone out to make the 3 1/2 hr trip just alittle more fun, let alone the hop skip and jumping games after you finish your prep. To say I am alittle anxious is like saying our president is alittle tan....Since I will be knocked out my friendly doc will also do a Gastroscope.....Hi Ho Silllvvverrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Away.......I bet alot of you guys don't have a clue to this Hi Ho stuff. It was a TV western show back in the 50's. You younger guys parents would know about the masked man known as the Lone Ranger. He would ride off on his trusted horse silver to the William Tell Overture...Now how many know what the William Tell Overture is.....Ok...I'm just blabbering....Good luck Change...Rod
