To all of our forum members: Lately we’ve had many posts that border giving medical advice; from forum medical professionals as well as other forum members. Just a quick reminder that this forum is for support and that we shouldn’t be giving out medical advice per forum rule #20 (see below.) If members do choose to use advice from another forum member, it’s highly suggested that they discuss the advice with their own medical professional first. As a reminder to new and older members alike, please review the forum rules. 20. Do not use the forum to give professional medical advice. If you are a medical professional, please remember the forums and chat are for patient support and not to be used for distributing professional medical advice and/or using the forum to represent your professional services. So as long as your not a medical professional you can give all the advice you want? Not that anyone would listen to my advice but just curious.

We all can make suggestions, etc, but we need to make sure that what we're saying comes across as an opinion, and not as "doctor's orders." Does that make sense?

Where exactly is the line between an opinion and advise..?....Is it like....In my experience taking 6 tabs of azulfidine as maintenance keeps me from flaring...as opposed to...Take 6 tabs of azulfidine as maintenance to prevent a flare...

Yep. Just say what works and doesn't work for you personally. That's not giving advise.
I've gained a lot of knowledge from this forum. It's here that I first learned about
probiotics, boswellia supplements, and the spinach and sunflower seed diet. Thanks to all who have shared their experiences.

I agree that the line is pretty iffy. But, noted.

Exactly -- kind of like -- don't tell people what they should be doing; say this is what worked for me...or this might work...you get the picture.

Sounds like a great idea. Good thinking.
