Yea I just finished waking up and down the hallway. I'm wanting the stoma to produce gas so I can eat.

I wish I had been able to see my colon after it was out.
What am I doing wrong in not being able to see the website? I assume you just copy/paste and take out the spaces but that doesn't work

I had a total colectomy 20 years ago for Crohn's and it was the best thing I could do for myself. It really hasn't given me a problem.

Now, about trying to get bowel sounds so you can eat. Start thinking of all the food you want to eat that you haven't been able to eat for years. Get out magazines. Have your visitors bring magazines that have pictures of food in them. Trust me, you will get the bowel sounds! My doctor gave me that bit of advice before surgery so I packed some magazines in my suitcase. Give it a try. I hope it helps!

I got the website. I searched his name and colon and found it but the address on the top is not the one in the post. Oh well.
Neat pictures. Yeah, that colon definitely doesn't look healthy

Adam,

I am very happy for you because you have your whole life ahead of you and now you don't need to worry about this condition anymore; sure there will be adjustments to make, but in the long run you will be better off. You're a warrior because it takes a lot of courage to actually go ahead and have surgery, some grown men cry when they see a needle...I will be praying for you because I know recovery can be tricky sometimes.
