Your grains are going out in the mail today- I hope you enjoy them! Let me know how it goes, feel free to ask any questions, etc. Also- if anyone else is interested in kefir grains, let me know- this mailing is my "test run", so I'm anxious to see how they fare! They're pretty hearty things, so they should be fine.

Eva Lou, Thanks so much! I am looking forward to getting them and will keep you up to date. I have and am having a stress filled week. Hopefully the kefir will be a good distraction, but I may be off the board for a bit with all the stress and inability to focus.

Kefir will be the high point of my week!

Eva Lou, Thank you for your tip regarding the first couple of batches of Kefir. They did test not-so-good. But now it is coming out pretty good. I make a big cup every night and drink it (I mix a tablespoon of flax seed powder in) before going to bed. It gets pretty sour in 24 hours (I do put it in the oven, TURNED OFF, to set). Don't know how you let it set for more than 24 hours. Any ways, this thing is working well now. I think it is helping, but it's a bit too early to tell... I will keep you posted.
