help.... taking lialda

I have a question ?

I got out of the hospital from a flare up with my ulcerative colitis in mid march have been on prednisone and lialda. My doctor took me off of pred two weeks ago. I was doing fine with the lialda up until 2 days ago my bm's have increased from 4 - 8 moviements daily.  I'm growing frustrated if lialda even works.  A question if you find a pill in your stool and it is not just a shell is it safe to assume it is even working for you.

I think it is usually just the casing of the pill but the medication is emptied out. I am not sure because I've seen them in my stool before but never went so far as to investigate.

I don't think Lialda helps me anymore but it used to.

So, did you fish it out to see if it's not just the casing?
