I was at a hospital appointment today with a new GI - Referred to him for biologics,, possibly Humira or Remicade - Anyway.. I didnt get offered either, although he mentioned another drug which I havent came accros on here, anybody any ideas? Its an alternative to aza (Not 6MP).. I believe it started with Tri...... I could be wrong tho
He is going to start me on that (Tri...???)after my sigamoid and I would like to read up on it.



All hopes buuilt up to this day for MONTHS and I didnt get what I was hoping for :(

Is that not an antidepressant?? - Surely thats not an alternative to Aza..

no, it's not an alternative.....it's one aspect of treatment, however....the only one I could think of that's "tri"...lol.

I didn't say I knew what it was...I just threw out a word.

Could it have been 6-thioguanilyic acid (TGMP) - that is another thiopurine drug?

Tacrolimus? Methotrexate? Those are the other two immunosuppressants I have read about.
