Starting to get uncomfortable BMS

I'm having excellent bowel movements, but the big one of the day is causing cramping. Rectal pain?

Not sure what is within specs or not. Doc had me cut rectal enemas to one every three days, should I go back to nightly?

You could go back to every other day and not nightly. Maybe that'll help. Also, even in remission, my main BM of the day got me kind of crampy.

OK, I get it, good advice. I should be looking at the main BM as somewhat normal to be a little crampy. It's coming out fast and it's a good deal of formed stool. Thank God for good, solid regular BMs!

I agree with EP. The cramping for a big BM seems normal to me. What's not normal is cramping when you aren't having a BM or cramping and then a little tiny poop. Also, I only get rectal pain when there's inflammation there. So, going up on your Rowasa to every other night seems reasonable to me! :o)

BTW how's the pred thing going? Do you have an appt. to see the endocrinologist?

Well, I know what you are saying Ellen, and I worry about pain, etc too.  But sometimes I stop and remember that 'normal' people have pain/cramps with BMs sometimes too.  And my morning BM usually involves a little pain, I wouldn't exactly call it cramping but it's a little something.  But as long as I don't see blood or start having to go multiple times, I'm going to 'try' not to worry...TRY...lol...I tend to over think things :)
