Saw this on the CD board and thought I'd post it here. We usually stay close to home, go to the pool and cookout, and of course watch fireworks.


Independnce Day is one of my two favorite holidays of the year. So, Sunday night for at least one more year I'll get to raise my glass and say God bless America, God save the Queen, and long live free men!

We will go to a cookout and fireworks with family.  It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend here in Kentucky so I'm looking forward to it!

Uncle has a new sal***er pool that we will indulge in all day. Pool part, cookout, family and fireworks = a great day.

For much of the weekend my husband will be working on the new porch, and I'll be doing support things like holding boards while he cuts them. That said, I work Sunday morning - and with a new colleague/boss for the first time, so.... I'm a little tense about that.
We'll kick back Monday - younger son's birthday, so we're having family and his friends for a "combined holiday" cookout.
The big excitement is that tonight he is one of three students who have been invited to join one of the Army jazz bands in a local concert! What a honor and what fun!!

My boyfriend and I will be spending the day with my brother, SIL, and their kids at a bbq then watch the fireworks. It's supposed to storm here in MN so I don't know about the fireworks!

My favorite holiday is Chinese New Years. I don't live in Asia anymore; so I no longer get to enjoy the celebrations.

I'm visiting my daughter and her family in Lake Tahoe. I got here two days ago and will be going back home on Monday.
