Nearly in remission after 3 years!!

Yay I had a flexi sig last week and the consultant told me the Remicade has worked really well and I only have a tiny bit of mild inflammation in the rectum left to get rid of. So I don't need to have any more Remicade for the time being, and they don't want to see me back at the hospital for a check up until September! My symptoms since my 2 doses of Infliximab had improved dramatically, no urgency for weeks, only 1 or 2 BM's a day, no blood (just a little mucous) and barely any pain or discomfort. Its going to take a while to get back to normal after being ill for 3 years but I'm confident I'll get there...how happy am I!!

Sounds great! Are you on any rectal meds such as suppositories at this point?

Hope you are using rectal meds for that last inflammation - quincy, do you hear an echo in here!  LOL

funnily enough no...they said they are adding in just oral asacol and pentasa. not sure why?! i was a little surprised when he said that.
