Hi All:

As most of you know I had really bad colitis and got it under control with Imuran.  It got me in a solid remission making my confidence soar.  I have one solid BM, no other issues at present.  Traveling on the road used to be one of my most anxiety causing situations.  I am presently in the UK with my family visiting my wife's family.  So far so good.  One week into it, no problems on planes (10 hours worth), no problems traveling in cars all over the English countryside. 

I just wanted to share my happiness with you all.  So far so good.  It's nice to hear other people's happy stories.  Tomorrow we are off to London, traveling on a super fast train and going 2 C a live play in the West End of London.  Next week going to Manchester to see Ricky Hatton's gym for U boxing fans. 

Just wanted to share some good news

That's great, now if we could every post on this forum say "I'm in remission or I'm cured", that be even better :)

That is awesome! So very happy for you!
It's seriously good to read things like this because it gives some hope. It seems we are always so negative about this disease when if we were a little bit positive maybe it would help!
I've had a bad infection here recently, in my gut and now I'm eating foods that are easy to digest and have been feeling a lot better ever since. D is still present but today, I have only gone 2 times! Something is crazy in my system because I ate pasta night before last and yesterday I was in the bathroom all day long. So easily digestible diet works for some!

Thanks for positive replies.  Yes it's great for me right now.  Who knows what the future holds but for now my UC is on the back of my mind.  Also I forget to include that we went on 8-10 car ride up and down the English countryside into the mountains of Whales.  We also did a 2-3 hour tour of a castle built in the 1300's.  I hardly even thought about a bathroom once and didn't even really think about my UC. 

So yes this thread is meant to give people hope.  I had horrible UC, alot of blood, alot of D.  Really bad UC.  Now it's really under control, lock down.  And I am trying all sorts of foods, including various beers.  I think I have a buzz for at least half of my vacation.
