prednisone + colazal?

so i'm new here (about thirty seconds old, i'd say) and i guess i'll just introduce my situation right quick. i'm 19, and i've been in a pretty ok remission since the beginning of 2010, until about maybe five days ago. i came down with a fever or something like it, and then quickly afterward a flare up came out of nowhere. i'm taking colazal now, and i need to start a job very soon, so i'm considering taking prednisone to for now to help. is this a terrible idea? should i stop taking the colazal or can i take both at the same time?

i was put on prednisone when i was first diagnosed, and then the the entire experience wasn't terrible, i was bloated a little, and had a some acne, but that and the tapering was completely worth it compared to living in my bedroom for months. i'm gonna sound like an idiot, but what do you mean "rectal meds"? like mesalamine? i had that in the form of an enema when i was first diagnosed as well. i'm kind of dead set on getting this flare up under control, seeing that i have to start a job that i NEED in the next couple of days and i want to do anything i can to get this at least partly under control.

so we are talking about direct enemas. like i said i don't have medical (which is another big reason i need this job, so i can finally go to a doctor and get checked up again) and so i can't get my hands on prescription stuff other than this left over prednisone, so i have to work with what i have for now. my main concern is just whether or not i shouldn't take colazal while taking prednisone. i'm pretty confident in dealing with the side effects of it
