Vit D linked to cancer, autoimmune disease gene

Scientists have found that vitamin D influences more than 200 genes, including ones related to cancer and autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis -- a discovery that shows how serious vitamin D deficiency can be.

as well...sugar feeds cancer cells. Cancer cells die in its absence. Always wondered why M and M's candy was a sponsor for cancer research. Seems rather ironic.

The worse part is,
This is a fat soluble vitamin. Unlike other vitamins, overdose will remain stored in your body and could lead to adverse effects due to overdose and its not really that easy to get rid of..

You're right but it is so hard to get an overdose of D. I have been taking over 3,000 IU of vitamin D every day for over 4 years and barely keep my blood levels in the optimum range. There are people who take 10,000 IU a day and they can be in danger. And even with that much it probably takes months to OD. It's important to test to see where your levels are.
