Thanks for asking Old Hat. I've been hanging out more in the ostomies forum these days. We had a great summer and I'm feeling really good. We were busy with travel baseball, camps and vacations so I really forgot about the bag altogether and time just flew by. Life is good again. The oldest two are back in school and my 4-year-old starts preschool in about a week. We're getting back into our routine. I go back to Cleveland for surgery #2 of 3 in two and a half weeks. I could have had it done in July but we've had too much stuff going on until now. Not looking forward to that incision pain again but I want to get it over with so I can have #3 about 10 weeks later. Hopefully, that will be before the end of the year since we will have reached our maximum out-of-pocket. I know I've mentioned this before but I still recommend anyone who has severe UC consider surgery. Take care!

I'm doing well. I had my second surgery on Sept. 21st and while I wasn't nearly as sore this time around, I am sooooo tired. I think the surgery must have taken a lot out of me. I could pretty much fall asleep at any given time. I need at least one nap and day and sometimes multiple ones. But I'm feeling well and I'm suppose to have my third - and final - surgery Dec. 14th. With the holidays, it will be here before I know it. So, hopefully this journey is coming to an end. Thanks for asking Old Hat.
