UPDATE ON 8 YR OLD SON

So, his results all came back fine. He had one ulcer in his small intestine but showed no CD at all. The ulcer was healing. I'm happy but we still don't know what the problem is. I guess I rather not know than him to have this awful diesese. Just thought I would let everyone know. Thank God he doesn't have IBD.  Now hoping none of my kids get it at all.

My 10 y.o. son thought he had blood in his poop a few weeks back. It was nothing, just a bit orange color from the cheesy nachos he had the night before... but it sure got me thinking about what it would be like to have a sick child.

That's great news-- that he does NOT have IBD! It sounded to me, as I wrote you in an earlier thread, that your son had a small intestine problem-- because his symptoms were similar to what my friend's son suffered at age 11. This boy needed about 4 months to recover, but then he never had another intestinal attack 'til he was nearly 32, and he got over that quickly. In general he tries to eat a healthful diet & avoid junk food-- he keeps his weight pretty constant & does not smoke or drink except for the occasional glass of wine. I hope your son will also have this good a recovery from his nasty small intestine attack. Yes - Whew, hope he heals quickly.

They checked him for h phylori(the first thing they did) it came back negative. The doc thinks it is behavioral. He said kids between 7-8 will start to understand that bad things happen and they get worked up. He thinks he is getting scared, hyper, etc. and then he throws up. he has always been high strung and he does worry. They want me to put him on basicly ridalin and I said no. He said he will most likely grow out of it. My husband has a sensative stomach maybe he gets this from him. I don't believe he needs to be on ADD meds because he is fine at school and he has had no behavioral issues. I'm kind of pissed now that I thought about this all night. I'm just going to leave him be and see how he does.

Yes, he is very outgoing. he has tons of friends. Such a sweet boy.
