Amy Brenneman on The View; famous people who have/had UC

I remember reading a post a while back asking about famous people with UC, so........

Amy Brenneman (Private Practice, Judging Amy), while a guest on "The View" today, mentioned that she had suffered from Ulcerative Colitis for 5 years. Earlier this year she had "a big old operation to correct it" and she's "great now." I can't find any specific mention on the 'net about this. Just that she had surgery for a chronic health issue.

I was just coming on here to see if anyone else saw this! She must have had a colectomy. I wonder if she has a bag or J pouch? He dress was tight so I'm thinking J pouch. Good for her for mentioning UC!! Looks like she is doing great.

While I don't want anyone to have UC. I do like when they mention they have it because it makes you feel like you aren't alone. It also raises awareness on the issue. I missed it I wish I seen it.

Apparently Frank Sinatra had UC from the time he was in his 30s and had a colectomy. Judy Garland as well battled UC for years.

Marc Jacobs is very inspiring. In the documentary of his work with Louis Vuitton, there is a scene which shows him in the early stages in his transformation to health using VSL#3 and diet. He has made an incredible physical transformation.

Heath Slocum is a professional golfer and won the Barclay's championship last year and is also has been in sustained remission from UC. He is a spokesperson for CCFA.
