I thought I was doing so much better

   I had a bad time with accidents urgency and going alot for a while and I had even considered surgery. Well I got to feeling much better no pain and even though I had urgency now and then no accidents.  I still had mucus gas loose stools and a little bit of pain now and then but it was not a big deal. I have had much worse before I even had UC so I did not think much of it.  Well I got a cold that turned into bronchitis and it flared up my asthma really bad. I went to the ER for a breathing treatment and the doctor came in and asked if I knew why I would be anemic and have high blood platelets. He said the numbers indicate a chronic illness rather then sudden onset. I only saw blood off and on in my stool but my mother who is an RN said blood in the stool has a unique smell that is easy to pick out once you know what is smells like and she could smell it after I used the bathroom. So I guess I am bleeding but I just don't see it. The weird thing is I feel pretty good. I am very confused on what to do. I am going to my family doc today for my asthma and bronchitis but I think I will ask him his opinion about the UC. I really trust more then I do my GI.

 I have cortenema that I take since my UC is only affecting 7 in of my colon. I tried Rowesa enema but it made my hair fall out like crazy and it did not work as well as cortenema.  My stool is semi formed but I do have occasional D.  I have had a stool blood test done before and yes they found blood I just figued since I did not see lot of blood in the toilet that I would not get anemic.

        I got a new inhaler a steriod pack for my asthma. I do feel better today asthma wise.

  I had one in OCT when I was diagnosed with moderate left sided UC. I was really expecting it to be hemmroids since bleeding and mucus were my only symptoms at that time. Sadly the symptoms progressed as time went on and now here I am.  Oh and collecting it for the stool sample he wants I do see some blood in the mucus that I otherwise did not notice. I suppose after a while it does add up.
