VSL#3 Double Strength

Since the packet says to mix it with food or beverage to take it, I've never worried about whether to take it on an empty stomach.

Applesauce is a good thing to mix it in, and orange juice.... I'd had it in/on ice cream, but ... that's a little nasty. I've also had it in chocolate milk, using a hand frother (as for cappucino) to whip it in well.

You got this as a prescription, right? (The Double Strength is Prescription only)....

I started with one packet a day.

Wow, no, you got the right thing - but since it says "by prescription only" on my boxes, I assumed it was so!
(Being prescription, my insurance covers part of it....)

If she'd never taken probiotics before, I'd suggest starting with a half packet to see how it "sat", but since she's already been doing some, I couldn't see any reason not to start with a packet per day (just based on my own experience....)
