Hey everyone, I've had the flu now for over a month. Just exhausted. It just wont go away. I'm off imuran and prednisone now and feel severly drained. Want to sleep all the time but have 2 kids and 8 puppies !!!! and a husband to take care of. Not flaring at the moment but feel like I have mono or something. Does anyone know when the joint pain from prednisone goes away?

You might need some blood tests. Here in north Texas, Mono is going around. Two people at work have it along with a couple of kids. With joint pain, or sore throat or fatigue, it would be worth testing.

I agree with Nor_TX. It sounds like Mono or the Epstein-Barr disease and not the flu. How long have you been off the pred completely?

I tappered off pred, in May. Joint pain severe, doc put me back on only half a pill per day! Then I came off after a month. So been off I think 2 months now from such a small dose. I originally was on 90mg a year ago....took me forever to come down.
I have never been tested for mono, never heard of Epstein-Barr, will look it up.
