canasa stayed in for a hour but I had to go to the bathroom, do another?

HI

I put in a canasa, but in a hour it came out because I had to poop and I saw the white medicine floating on top of the water in the toilet, should I put in another or no not since it melted and was in for a hour?

For me, it depends how my symptoms are. If I am flaring badly and I feel I need more medicine, I use another. If I am using it more as a maintenence medication and I feel stable, I don't use another.

i think you can use up to 3 during the day- check with your dr

in a bad flare, if it came out shortly after in a bm, i would def put in another one and lay down for a few minutes

Yes, you can use 3 daily. One's prescription should read what one uses as to not run short and to be able to get refills.

do you ever get where you feel you have to go to the bathroom and all it is is bloody, mucus, skin? I will put another in. I'm going "under" tomorrow for a cosmetic proceedure and my doc said my meds that I'm taking asacol and canasa are fine. This is correct right? I get so nervous. I'm just having laser resurfacing, no cutting.

I don't see why Asacol or Canasa would be a problem. I know they don't like when people are on prednisone because it inhibits healing. I haven't been put under since being diagnose, except for a colonoscopy and I know that is a different anesthetic.
