Strep and colitis

I went out of town last week, and Sunday, the day I came back, I woke up with a sore throat. Last night, I looked at my throat, and saw what I think is the indicating factor of strep throat: the white spots on my tonsils. Other than that, and feeling slightly feverish, I don't feel that bad, but my Dad's probably going to take me to our GP tomorrow. I had strep almost once a year, every year growing up, and once it almost turned into scarlet fever, but it's been a long time, and I don't remember what they use to treat it. Would the treatment interfere with my UC?
