You're right, baker's yeast, brewer's yeast, and nutritional yeast are all the same organism: Saccharomyces cerevisiae. I still wonder, though, since bakers and brewer's yeast are considered "active" and nutritional yeast is considered "inactive"... I assume the reason yeast isn't SCD legal is because of the fear that the yeast organisms will colonize within your body and cause problems. I wonder if that could possibly happen with the deactivated nutritional yeast?
I am very curious about this too because I like nutritional yeast (though mostly I liked it on popcorn with I also no longer eat :( ), but I like it on eggs too, or maybe salads? Sigh...
