Hi everybody.  I am the husband of a beautiful woman who suffers from Ulcerative Colitis.  I know she is on this forum as a guest to get information about her condition and has recieved alot of great information from all of you. I am a regular member of other silly forums like Jeep and Mossberg shotgun forums but I wanted to sign on here so we could post up together with our questions and concerns about UC.  These forums are great information sources and I look forward to talking to you all soon. You are all so brave fighting this disease.  I feel so helpless in this fight of hers and I want to know as much as I can on treatment that you have gone through because it breaks my heart to see my wife go through this.  Thanks for listening.

Hi M, first of all welcome to this forum!

We all wish we could be doing something better but at least we are all here together!

From my experience, just knowing that a spouse understands what you are going through is definitely half the battle already! My guy knows and tries his best all the time, especially when I start whining and complaining. Yes, this a terrible disease to go through and I am glad that I have this group to share with. It has helped me a lot and still does! That I am not going through this completely alone physically!

So hang in there both of you, there is a lot of experience and advice.

Hey and welcome! As for questions, ask away!!! You'll likely get differing opinions on many of them, but since UC is such an individualistic disease, sometimes you need to try several different things to find out what works. That's great you're being so supportive of your wife; as a wife who has a really supportive husband (we made it through a terrible flare with a newborn and came out stronger as a couple!), your support right now means more than you'll ever know.

Hi, and welcome to the forum! This is a nasty disease, and different things (meds, supplements, approaches) work for different ones of us, so, I hope you two find a few hints here that prove to be helpful.
This forum is a wonderful place to ask questions, and I know I've learned so much from the folks here..... so, ask away (and don't be surprised when you get a bunch of different answers - lol!)

Welcome to Healingwell :) I'm sorry that your wife has to suffer from this and you have to watch. Uc is not fun that is for sure. If you should have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to ask. Also, please have your wife join us. We would love to have her.
