Like Q said, look for the baby hairs and its'a good sign if you don't have bald patches.
Nice. Bald patches. I dont have any of those yet, but its definately thinning out. And I see the baby hairs. Its like I have a halo of baby hairs, lol.
Next time I see my GI Ill request my B vit levels are checked. For financial reasons Ive not been able to keep up with the diet for the last week or so. Ive had to eat what we've got available. I find Im scared of food tho. Eating's caused so much pain and agony over the years but the last few, maybe 6 to 8 months especially. Im feeling much better tho. The rectal meds are helping.
Im gonna keep an eye on how my hair is during the few weeks/months that Im not able to keep to scd completely. Ive had to add some bread (which I hate), but still cant bring myself to eat rice ...probably EVER, its the worst and potatoes are still out for the time being. Ill be looking into a good multivitamin. Probably should have been on one to begin with but I just didnt think about
it. But I did up my dose of asacol, just a little bit, to the dose you suggested Q, I think I upped it a little more actually. I started taking 3200mg a day. That plus the rectal suppositories are whats kicked me into the stage where I can eat with minimal pain. However, saying that, I had two bm's today so far and I can tell Im probably not done. Thats with reintroducing bread and cakes/sugar again, I know it. Sigh.
I think being on scd, along with the meds, is the best thing for me. I think adding a good multivit is essential. Im just thinking outloud here. I appreciate your responses and advice, always, thanks
