I saw over on the Crohn's forum that they have a thread going where they list their three wishes for 2011.  I thought it would be fun to do something similar over here, so why don't we all list our three wishes (or things we're looking forward to!) for 2011.  And let's all assume that we'd all wish for a cure for IBD, so we can leave that one off! :) 

1.  I'm looking forward to moving to New York!

2.  I'm wishing that I get a job with the USDA that I really want.

3.  I'm wishing that my house here in WA state sells...and fast!

Hmm that is a tough one FG.....I already have what I truly need and want; good or bad health aside. But I guess I can get a bit whimsical.

1. Win the lottery
2. Use the said lottery winnings to buy a house in the country and to pay off bills ;)
3. Go on a motorcycle trip with my hubby and friends back to Panama City Fl.

right now I'm just wishing that the cellulitis in my hand goes away fast! From a hangnail, would you believe it? Sore Wednesday afternoon, by Thursday AM red, hot, throbbing... off the doctor I go, & come awy with a hefty dose of Keflex- 4 pills a day, 10 days. Which already seems to be wreaking havoc with my guts. Feeling a bit sorry for myself, can you all tell??? shakehead   I can't sleep, I can't use my hand, I'm due for another Humira shot this coming week, great time for an infection... ugh!!!!! Come on 2011, better things ahead, please!!!! Also hoping we are able to stay employed & healthy for the year- 2010 wasn't bad to me, not at all. Would love to buy a home this year too- maybe.....

Hmmm, it is tough because I'm a pretty happy and content girl -- life doesn't get much better. But here is three:

1. That I lose the ten pounds I need to. :-) Yes, seriously!

2. That my parents continue to find comfort in the coming year

3. That my husband and I take some great trips....I'm ready for a good vacation!

I so know what I want to happen in 2011 for me.

1. Get a good job to help with the bills
2. Buy a house
3. have a safe and healthy pregnancy

lol, I want to win the lotto too!

1. To eat better and not eat foods or wear products that come from inhumane sources
2. To get on a path towards a more productive future, and set goals...
3. To get my old body back and concentrate on gaining some energy and motivation

To find another job that is more satisfying career-wise than the one I have which will run out in 2012.

To maintain my remission.

To find a satisfying volunteer opportunity that uses my expertise as a writer.

To have more direction and focus during my days.

To be a more loving and giving person.

To make more friends and maintain relationships.

To lose five pounds and keep exercising and doing yoga.

Hmm...I forsee many changes in the future regarding my husband's parents situation, possibly my MIL's death from her new/recent diagnosis of congestive heart failure. We're not close as in seeing them very often (we live at the other end of the city for a chosen reason).

So, in possible preparation of the above which I'll have no control, what I can control and work on are:

1) continue the organisation of my "stuff" and working on our house changes/improvements.

2) have a somewhat better sleeping schedule that will help with more focused days

3) get me and my husband more active regarding exercise

I have a ton more, but best limit it to 3 or I'll be overwhelmed..lol. Although, the lottery win would be amazing! I'd buy a horse for sure.



Eva Lou....wow, how awful you've got cellulitis. It's a bad/dangerous thing to get, and yes...I can understand clearly how an innocent hangnail can wreck havoc.
I hope your meds work completely for it.

Can you still receive Humira while having it? Enquire..

I asked my primary care doctor about the Humira- I'm due for a shot next Thursday. I started the Keflex yesterday afternoon, so I *should* be in the clear. But if anything seems off, or my finger is not 100% better, I'll call my GI to check with him. I can take both meds together fine, the antibiotic & Humira. It's the actual infection that worries me. It is awful, so painful, & I'm so annoyed that I have to sit here soaking my finger! Better than IV antibiotics though! Your 3 wishes/hopes are good ones- they'd apply to me also!

I would wish the my older son successfully returns to campus and is able to accomplish his goals; that my younger son successfully gets through high school and into a college he's excited about, and that, if all that happens, that my husband and I figure out how to enjoy each other as empty nesters!

Can I add a 4th? That 10 pounds several of you spoke about.... Or, actually...... 20. lol

1. Be present and enjoy each moment with my husband and children.
2. Delegate at work so that I can grow my business without having to take on more myself.
3. Decorate the home that we have now been in for 6 months!
