Tapering off Medrol and Bleeding?

Anyone have experience with this? Was on 32mg for 7 days and doc now has me dropping to 24mg for another 7 and then 16mg for another 7 days, etc. Noticed a bit of blood today and hoping not to flare again!!

Hi there,

I was on 120mg Salumedrol pickline, then tapered down. Once I got to 60mg I had bleeding. Salumedorl was my life saver!! No bleeding while on it and prednisone only worked for a short time. Now, I'm on Humira and 6-MP. Powerful, ugly drugs. Try to eat right and be stress free, it helps. I'm still not in remission. Thinking about trying VSL#3.

shaddiegirl...are you still on the meds in your sig?

Yes, tapering steroids can have symptoms coming back. Why were you put on the medrol?

What's the extent of your UC..limited or throughout?

UC is limited. Yes, just started the canasa and cortisoam which the doc said would help with the taper down
