If can't take antibiotics normally can be taken intravenously?

Hi It's me again!

Just having another thought, if there is a good chance (which I am sure will most likely happen) for c.difficile if I take the antibiotics, can the antibiotics be taken intravenously instead? This is for the h.pylori that I was diagnosed with when I had a bout with indigestion/heartburn, etc.

What do you guys think?

I found that IV antibiotics don't seem to bother me as much as oral so ask your doc and see what he/she says.

maybe, but chris was on IV antibiotics after surgery and developed c-diff a few days after coming off, so i wouldn't bet on it. if you have to take antibiotics make sure you double up on probiotics when coming off of them.

I did ask a doctor covering for my regular doctor and she said that it intravenously would not necessarily lessen the affect of the antibiotics, it goes everywhere. So, I am still left with the dilemma of taking antibiotics for the H.Pylori. and now I think I am starting a flare again or it may be the stomach ulcers but some blood is happening. Great! What to do?!

I'm tempted to take the antibiotics and see what happens, it may get the bacteria out or not, as this it is a hardy bacteria to get rid of!
