I picked up a new snack bar at the grocer thinking it would be another failed experiment as they are usually packed with sugars and soy products. But this one surprised me it has Oats, Flax, Physillum Seed, Sunflower Oil, Inulin few calories and 12 grams of fiber. I went back and got more apple-cinnamin and chocolate. They taste great at first bite but soon after you no longer notice the flavor and that is fine with me as I will take 'bland' and 'sensible' over 'flare fuel' every day of the week.
I also tried out a slower digesting protein powder this week and neither of these changes has caused any harm. I feel it was definitely a solid step in the right direction. I am improving after a noticeable yet expected setback from stopping the vicodin.
