I went in yesterday and they got me all hooked up and took me in the back. Before this I threw up all my movie prep the night before but the morning one worked. That stuff is gross, the nurse said most of their crohn's and uc patients do the gatorade and mirlax prep because it tastes better. I will ask for this next time. Anyways, they took me into the room and I was to have a scope down the throat and my colonoscopy they give me the medicine and I would't fall asleep they give me more and I kind of fall asleep, so they try to do the scope down the throat and I wake up and my heart rate when into the 150"s. So she says we will do the colonoscopy and try the scope down the throat again. They do the colonoscopy and I keep waking up but I'm fine. The doc kept asking the nurse if I was awake and she said yes she falls asleep for a minute and than wakes up. Anyways, they do the colonoscopy and then try the scope down the throat again. She looks at me and says we are going to try it. I said to her I'm awake. So they tried it and my heart rate when up agian, so they couldn't do it. She said I have to have it done with a anastesialogist(sp?) I don't know if they can only give me so much otherwise the anastesialogist has to be in there. So they want me to come back. I got sick. I never get sick. I threw up on the way home, lucky my mom pulled over in time and I threw up three more times at home. I also had so much gas this time.
I thought I was dying. Does anyone else have to have the anastesialogist in the room? If so I'm I put completely under? The good news is my left side is completely healed and my right side only has mild inflammation and ulcers. A year ago I had severe uc throughout my whole colon. So I can stay on the remicade. This is good but it still scares me.
