UC Flares on biologic?

Hi,

Anyone heard of UC flares occuring shortly after treatment with a biologic?  I have been taking Humira for the last 3-4 years, but not constantly.  The Humira was prescribed for my spondylitis (I also have left sided UC which was under ok control with Asacol and mesalamine enemas).  I have had two periods of time (each greater than 6 months) when I stopped taking Humira.  I restarted Humira last October and the results are not as great as when I was first on it (kind of what I expected from mulitple stops in treatment). This time I have been experiencing UC flares a few days following each injection (injections are every 2 weeks). 

Anyone ever heard of something like this happening?

i have Humira every other week and have for four months. I was also taking prednisone and have just gotten off prednisone, a very slow backing off. Just got off last week and I just started flaring this weekend. I also use canasa suppositories morning and night. When I started having blood with my stools I asked for something else to help. My gastroenterologist prescribed a foam rectal treatment. Still developed a flare.

im on remi. helped a TINY bit but otherwise did not do anything that 6mp or other meds couldnt have. coming off remi because it isnt working like its supposed to and its not worth having that toxic drug in me. i didnt develop antibodies or anything it just plain did not work.
