In no way am i suggesting that we take bites out of live animals. I am suggesting that our bodies evolve with what we need to survive. Sorry if you misunderstood.
I'm sure there are lots of people with calcium defincies, and defenicies in lots of vitamins and minerals, however, if you look at the link i posted, it clearly states that vegans have to eat a very large amount of fruits or vegetables to get enough of those nutrients. I wasn't saying anything bad about being vegan, merely sharing a piece of information.
I diont think that eating a hamburger and smoking are comparable. Apples and oranges there. I used to smoke, and i can tell you that being addicted to cigarettes and liking cake are not the same thing. I quit smoking 12 years ago, and i do at times still miss it. Because thats a true addiction. Was i healthier after i gave up smoking, who knows my UC kicked in about two months later, so it's kind of hard to tell the difference there.
Yes i did have my colon removed, and it was a hard decision, in a way, but in a way it was one of the easiest decisions i ever made. It was a choice between contuning to make huge changes, and what i considered sacrifices, to attempt to be somewhat symptom free, or to get rid of the organ causing me such problems.
People can acheive remission with diet and meds, and that's great, i am very happy for those people, i wish that that worked for everyone. However, that only stops the symptoms, the disease is still there. But if the symptoms are under control there is no need to remove the disease.
