For all the Canadians - CCFC Education Symposiums

For those of us in Canada, check out the CCFC website. They have posted the dates for their annual Education Symposiums. I found this to be really informative last year. They talk about the latest developments, and offer various workshops. Last year they had workshops on surgery, medical treatment, naturopathic treatments, diet etc.

I found it to be a great resource. And, no I do not work for the CCFC. :)

The one in Toronto last year was great. That's how I learned about the GEM project. I also got a lot of excellent info about both Crohns and UC. They talk a lot about the latest research. They had the top doctors from Ontario - surgeons and GI's. Each gave an info session, and then took questions. It is also nice to be surrounded with people who are like you, or understand what you are going through, and to talk to others with similar experiences. It is like one big IBD fest.

I am not sure if Kamloops would be as intense, but I would recommend checking it out.

The Toronto one is on May 1, and I have already got my ticket.
