I have tried different probiotics and seem to either see little (if any) improvement or they make me gassy and increase the D. Of course, maybe I didn't give them long enough of a try.
I take vitamin supplements including a centrum and vitamin D. For a while I was taking a B complex as well and tried magnesium too. I also gave a whirl at a holistic and tried Cat's Claw... but saw no change.
I feel overall that I am getting closer to finding the right combination and my symptoms have overall improved in fact, I almost had a completely normal stool a week ago, but it didn't last.
The apriso is next on the list as I have been trying asacol but am seeing little to no difference as compared to the Lialda. When using the Canasa I find that it makes things feel better down low but does loosen things up a bit. I mentioned to my GI the Rowasa and he wasn't really excited about that idea for me... not sure why. Perhaps if the apriso doesn't give me the results I hope I will ask again about Rowasa again, although I think he would want me to try colazal first. He is a really good GI and I do trust him so I don't think changing docs is something I would consider right now.
