I have Proctosigmoiditis (mild to moderate) Although the term mild top moderate sure looks odd when I passing blood and i am in pain as I sit on the thrown. Anyway I am always having to deal with the first 6 to 8 inches of my first AM bowl movement first thing in the morning being dry and hard, so I take 800 to 1000 mgs of Magnesium citrate (Natural Calm) before going to bed. This was suggested by my Doctor... This allows the first part to move out of my system. But after that its mostly soft all day.
Now Im in a flair (4 to 6 Bloody BM's a day, blood not to bad this time...hmm) and the only thing that will slow down the bowel, the pain, and the spasms is eating meat and rice, but that drys out the first part of the morning BM, which can be a big problem. My system is so sensitive to food that just a tilt one way or another has consequences. Dose anyone else here deal with this partial constipation?
I have Dysautonomia I dont take meds, so its all natural for this case study...I wish I could do the meds, but its a no go for me. Its all about diet, stress reduction and supplementation, exercise, sleep and so on. None of my doctors want to take meds they have seen first hand the damage they can do to me. So please respect the fact I have to do things this way, and not reply with a bunch of directives as to medication...Im very aware of the medications, I have been dealing with this for 20 years now. But Im always open to new ideas on what others are doing and how they deal with this. God Bless...
