I have to give my doctor some stool samples and I got them tonight.. do I put them in the fridge until tomorrow when I can take them to the lab??
I guess I should have asked them. :/

I've given may stool samples and never put them in the fridge. However the three tubs came with instructions. I'm not sure if all stool samples are the same.

I've heard that you should fridge them, if you can't get them to the lab w/in 2 hours.
And, even when you get them to the lab, they fridge them there until the tests are run.

The lab tech told me that stool can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
