Bleeding again on Remicade?

Sooo ive been on remicade now for a month and a half, the first infusion was great, got me out of the hospital and healthy again quite quickly, second infusion same thing i was feeling amazing, just had my third infusion three weeks ago...and now im starting to not feel great again. I've had smallish amounts of blood twice now, i talked to my doctor but he said it was probably just a little blip and that he didnt feel the remicade was failing already....what i want to ask is has anyone else experienced this and still had continued success with remicade?

I can't tell you much as I am new at Remicade too, but I can tell you that my bleeding has never really stopped the entire time I have been on it. It slows down for a couple of weeks, and then gradually comes back.

I asked my Dr about this and he said that sometimes it takes more than the loading doses to really know if it is working, and to give it more time.

I wouldn't worry yet. Some people also start getting symptomatic as they get closer to their infusion date. Though you said you got your 3rd dose 3 weeks ago - me too as a matter of fact - you may need to step up your schedule to every 6 weeks (something I may have to do too).

I had the same thing happen and my dr. at the time had wanted me to come every 6 weeks instead of 8. I chose to stop the Remicade. (I was just fed up with the drugs at that point...couldn't do it anymore)

See how it goes for a little while longer...you may benefit from going in at 6 weeks for the infusion. Good luck.
