pretzels or cheese?

 Can anyone eat pretzels?  or cheese?

just wanted to see if anyone feels different after eating this...i know cheese i cant eat...but when i eat pretzels i dont feel so good..thanks

That's because pretzels can only go with beer.

I actually like my pretzels with cheese, dipped in spicy horseradish sauce.. so good..... but really, I find pretzels alone to be pretty mild on the gut. As long as you're ok with gluten, I can't imagine they'd bother you.

Lol Q - They're actually a little larger, sort of size of a quarter maybe but oblong a bit. I like them too and whenever I see them, I gotta get them! But then again, I am addicted to peanut butter!

And pretzels never bother me either MissK - perhaps you have an issue with gluten?

OK everyone- Chocolate Covered Pnut Butter Stuffed Pretzels!!! To die for. Just to DIE FOR!!! Trader Joe's has them, & if you poke around in grocery stores, you'll probabyl find some there too. Yum.

Usually when I'm having colon issues I'll eat pretzels. They are pretty mild for me. While flaring I can eat cheese in moderation--my lactose intolerance worsens with a flare.

I'll have to look at Trader Joes for those pretzels...

Maybe you're sensitive to Wheat. Or something else in them. Probably Wheat though...Try boring Saltines

Try the Glutino gluten-free pretzels. Even my DH who does not need to be gluten free prefers these. I love both the little twisty ones and the longer straight ones. I love the bottom of the bags.... where the salt gathers.

I live in Philadelphia so pretzels are a requirement. Never had an issues eating pretzels dipped in cheese wiz. Mmmmmmm. I think I might go get one now.

Nice one!  Unfrotunately I gave up alcohol after being diagnosed sad Even the non-alcoholic beer has some alcohol!

I eat gluten free pretzels. Sometimes they bother me due to being hard. It depends how irritated my colon is.  Sometimes I think it's hard to rule out specific foods as there are so many other variables that come into play...the condition of our colon, or we could just be having a "bad day" and stress could interfer.

I'm orginally from Philly too...wonder if you can get gluten free soft pretzels...that may make it easier fo rme to digest wink

Not eating dairy righ tnow due to Liquid D.  Some hard cheeses may be ok but in moderation.  I think moderation is the key.

PandH, the amount of alcohol in non-alcoholic beer is really quite negligible, I'm sure it wouldn't do your colon any harm.

Dsm4life, I doubt Cheese Wiz is made from cheese, in fact I don't think it's even part of any recognized food group. Sure some folks love the taste but it's synthetic junk imho. Beer is the only thing that should be consumed with (skinny) pretzels (not them big fat chunky soft ones).

It's the law.

Yea, Wheat/Gluten Sensitivity can be ngtg for some. not to say you should go into panic mode and start destroying your cabinets & removing all wheat/gluten foods. but GF pretzels may be the way to go.

  it might not be the pretzels then...it probably was the cheese i ate...but im going to try the gf pretzels and start eliminating bread from my diet...i love bread too...but just for a while i will...thanks everyone...

It depends on whether or not the pretzels contain HFCS.
