Have you ever experienced this?

Sometimes (somewhat more frequently now) when my stomach hurts, I also feel a very sharp pain in the upper part of the center my left thigh. I know they are connected because it feels like the pain is shooting down. I asked my GI about it and she's never heard of it. I know something is wrong, but my GI doesn't seem concerned. I am a 33 year old female. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

I would defintiely get it checked out. I don't want to scare you but since we have colitis we are more prone to blood clots. I hate to worry about that on top of my colitis but if you can, go get checked out. GIs seem to never take things seriously unless it has to do with your colitis.

there's also what's called "referred pain." Maybe that can explain what you're experiencing?
