short on pentasa and scared!

so i'm at school until tuesday and had thought i had enough of all my meds, but i take 8 pentasa a day and the bottle i have was filled at 6 a day. i went to the pharmacy and they told me the doctor needed to call for me to even get a few days worth so i called the doctor but couldn't get a hold of the on call doctor. they said the doctor would call me but didn't. my parents are away and i can't bother them and my grandma thought i would be able to get the pills but so far i haven't been able to and i'm afraid i won't be able to and i'll get really sick. has anyone had this problem and if so how did you solve it??????

... so i've finally figured out how to get my doctor to return my calls... run out of meds... why didn't i think of this before?????

it's good he called.....hope he prescribes it for 8 daily and not 6.

yeah. he said it was some screw up with the mail order company. they scared me at the pharmacy b/c they told me the insurance didn't want to cover it but then they put it in under "lost medication" and everything was good again. so glad this ordeal is over with. now it's less than a month until i actually see MY GI for the first time in over 2 years (rather than his NP). discussing remicade but hoping the answer is "not yet"

Glad it's all getting worked out. Pentasa has a unique delivery system, it's a good product give it some time.

I absolutely HATE dealing with mail-in pharmacies. My insurance company basically requires it (it's WAY more expensive if you use a local place). Totally sucks.
